S/4HANA transformation with SAP Cloud ALM
- Situation
- Requirements lived in Jira, processes in Signavio, delivery in the SAP system — with no connection between them. Nobody could trace a requirement through to its transport.
- Approach
- Designed and built an end-to-end requirement-to-deploy process across Jira, Confluence, Signavio and SAP Cloud ALM. Transport management via CTS and CTMS, integration of LeanIX and BTP Document Management.
- Outcome
- A traceable chain from requirement to production system, plus training material and train-the-trainer sessions for the project teams.
From Solution Manager 7.2 to SAP Cloud ALM
- Situation
- Established ALM processes in Solution Manager, maintenance end in sight — and an open question about what actually belongs in the cloud.
- Approach
- Workshops to analyse the existing processes, a migration and configuration plan following SAP Activate, build-up of the Cloud ALM environment and selective data migration.
- Outcome
- A productive Cloud ALM environment for implementation and operations, including job and process management.
Transport and release management in an S/4 landscape
- Situation
- A growing system landscape without consistent control over transports — and the corresponding risk of changes overtaking each other.
- Approach
- Configuration of CTS and SAP Cloud Transport Management, introduction of downgrade protection and ATC checks, integration of Jira and Cloud ALM via SAP BTP.
- Outcome
- Controlled transport routes between development, QA and production, plus an agreed role and authorisation concept.
